We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account. We also collect information about your use of the service, including practice videos you upload, streak data, and interaction history. Studio owners additionally provide billing information processed by Stripe.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve DanceDaily; process payments; send transactional emails such as receipts and streak reminders; generate AI-powered practice tips; and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We share your information with the studio or instructor whose class you have joined, as necessary to provide the service. We use third-party service providers including Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, and Anthropic for AI features. Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@dancedaily.app. Practice videos are stored in Firebase Storage and can be deleted from your profile at any time.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Authentication, HTTPS encryption, and server-side session cookies. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies
We use a single HttpOnly session cookie to maintain your authenticated session. This cookie is essential to the service and cannot be opted out of while using DanceDaily. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dancedaily.app. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice in the app. Continued use of DanceDaily after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
